Where to Go Hiking In Winter In Quebec

A summer hike always sounds like a plan, doesn’t it? What you probably don’t know is that a winter hike is just as amazing.

This being the time to wind down right before starting a fresh new year, you might be looking for one more adventure to round off the year.

What about a winter hike in Quebec? If this sounds great, you can take a no credit check loan and explore these hiking spots.

Sentier Des Cap

At Sentier Des Cap de Charlevoix, you get 32 km of hiking trail, also perfect for skiing. At the center is an 800-meter elevation.

There is also a 50km backcountry trail that overlooks the St. Lawrence River.

You can get transportation services and even a baggage porterage service. You can combine your hike with alpine skiing and snowshoeing.

Dorwin Falls

Dorwin falls nestle the Ouareau River. Here, hikers can enjoy two viewing points and a 2.5 km ecological trail. Whenever you feel tired, the native flora and a picturesque picnic area are enough to rejuvenate you for the remaining trail.

The Dorwin falls come down 60 feet in height. Guests love to see this ecological sight in summer and then again in winter for contrast.

Parc National de la Gaspésie

This hiking trail is loved for its variety.

Parc national de la Gaspésie (Gaspésie National Park) offers 13 hiking trails. The shortest is 1.7 km, while the longest is 18km.

This park is also a natural habitat for the caribou, arctic-alpine flora, a large moose population and over 150 bird species. Coupled with 25 mountains, this is a hike worth the effort.

Vallee Bras-du-Nord

This park is close to Quebec City and is convenient for people looking for an easy day trip.

Vallee Bras –du-Nord has 80km of both long and short trails. Visitors can also pick trails depending on their difficulty level. There is the perfect trail to hike for both beginners and experts.

When out here, you can also go rafting, mountain skiing or biking. There is always an activity to be enjoyed by the young and old at Vallee Bras—du-Nord.

Chutes-de-la-Chaudière

The Chaudière falls is a collection of segmented waterfalls sitting side by side. These measure 35m.

It’s against this backdrop that the 3.5km hiking trail lies. As you hike, you can also take a walk on the suspended bridge for breathtaking views of the Chaudière.

All in All

These hiking spots are near Quebec, making them perfect day trip locations. There are also tonnes of activities to be done and accommodations near the hiking trails. This makes it possible to visit and go hiking over a long weekend as well.

A good hike, fresh air and breathtaking views. Just what the doctor ordered.
