Local Guide

Canada's largest city has sporting events, attractions and museums galore. We first recommend a trip to the top of the CN Tower for a stunning city view from 1800 feet in the air. Take it all in and get ready to explore!

Off to the Market

There’s so much to taste, see and discover in one of the world’s great markets – image courtesy of http://stlawrencemarket.com

You know you’ve arrived at St Lawrence Market by the palpable energy, colors and sweet smells. More than just a Farmer’s Market, this is a prime location for locals and visitors. With over 120 vendors, merchants and artisans, you could get lost in this market (and that’s actually not a terrible idea).

To eat or to drink?

You can take a tour of Black Oak Brewing Company on Saturdays and their bottle shop is open for your beer-grabbing needs – image courtesy of blackoakbeer.com

As a true melting pot for many cultures, the cuisine in Toronto varies from Korean to Greek, Jewish and Italian. We couldn’t possibly pick one fav restaurant so instead we recommend that you start off with some liquid refreshment. Check out one of the many local breweries – Black Oak Brewing Company is a sure bet.

What We Love

Escape to the Islands

Climb the CN tower to take in the full view of the Toronto Islands

It’s time to reeeeeelax. Head on over to Toronto Island Park for a chill day in the sun (or even the snow) and get a break from the city sidewalks. You can take an inexpensive ferry ride from the city, then spend the day enjoying a picnic, renting a bicycle, or taking the kids to the amusement park. There is much to see and do, so give yourself some time to explore!
