5 Top Spring 2020 Fashion Trends

While you’re doing your Spring cleaning, have you touched your closet yet? It’s time for an upgrade, and we’re here to help. Spring 2020 fashion trends are coming through like a blast from the past.

So if you’re ready to be the best dressed person you know, keep reading for this season’s best fashion advice straight from the runway.

Spring 2020 Trends

The look this season is all about clean lines and interesting textures. Here are the 5 best trends on the runway today!

1. The 90’s Are Back

From neon colors in Christopher Kane and Valentino’s collections to minimalist 90’s knitwear, this decade is the one to embrace right now. Matching twin sets and bodycon turtleneck tops are in, and of course there’s always the classic romper which is still around this season.

Square toe shoes are also making a comeback from the 90’s, with knee-high boots for next Fall from Ganni and Wandler.

2. Suit Up

A well-tailored suit is now a closet staple for every gender. Some designers are taking this trend in a very feminine direction with careful tailoring and embroidery or feminine fabric choices.

Waistcoats have also made a comeback as a stand-alone piece that you can pair with more casual clothing to create a mixed look that works. For example, Saint Laurent pairs a waistcoat with short shorts and a t-shirt for a more casual take.

3. Crochet

Crochet is sustainable and stylish. This new-old trend is taking off this Spring with unique dresses and suits that will stand out from the crowd. The midi dress is an especially popular choice for the crochet trend, with great offerings from Anna Kosturova and Jonathan Simkhai among others.

4. Short Shorts

Last year we saw shorts re-imagined as evening wear. This year they are more popular than ever, just a little shorter and tighter than before. It’s the return of the Daisy Dukes with a classy twist. Wear them with semi-sheer tights for a touch of elegance.

Shorts in great materials can be dressed up or down depending on your plans, and can easily go from a chic day look to an evening out on the town.

5. Classic Accessories

When it comes to accessories, keep it simple this season. Pick up one of these timeless bags by Fendi, or try a daytime clutch for something different.

We’re also seeing different textures being used in classic bags. Instead of a simple leather clutch, why not try one that’s quilted or crocheted to add a level of interest to your outfit.

Keep Trending

Spring 2020 is your season to shine. From the 90’s to today, fashion has continued to bring people together for the common cause of looking good. Keep an eye out for more classic trends to come back into style this year, and have fun updating your wardrobe!
